Satao Camp is located in the Tsavo East National Park and offers its guests the classical ‘Out of Africa’ experience. Spacious tented accommodation is complemented by first-class cuisine and genuine hospitality.
The camp boasts 20 authentic safari style en-suite tents, each with private verandahs, nestled among the tamarind trees surrounding the camp’s very own watering hole. The tents are carefully positioned to allow uninterrupted views of the visiting wildlife whilst ensuring total privacy. This will give you privacy, peace and a stay far away from mass.
Talking about budget, this camp is offering higher rates than the nearby Ashnil Aruba Camp. This is because Ashnil is a “commercial style” camp/lodge, while Satao is smaller, not fenced and more intimate. Ashnil is anyway a very good place where to stay, when it is not peak season.
Satao is about 30 minutes away from the famous “Aruba dam” , while Ashnil Aruba Camp is just in front of it. Satao, anyway , has its own dam that attracts a good number of elephants and antilopes. Impala, mangoose and monkeys are regular guests and you will find them around your tents every day.
We have tested this accomodation personally and we strongly suggest it.
