This is one of our best safaris ! With its high concentration of wildlife, and low tourism density, visitors to Mara Naboisho enjoy exceptional wildlife encounters – day and night. The conservancy has the big cats in big numbers. In fact, with roughly 100 lions living in the vicinity, it has one of the highest lion densities in the world. The largest pride in the Greater Mara Region – comprising 20 lions – has made the conservancy its home. Of course, such a healthy lion population would not be possible without an equally healthy wildlife food chain below it.
Paka Safaris will organize for you an exclusive luxury safari: transfers by aircraft, private use of vehicle with the possibility to request for a photographic open side land cruiser, professional english-speaking guide and luxury accomodation. Here at Naboisho Conservancy, you will stay at one of Asilia luxury tented camps. Asilia was Disney’s partner when their team filmed on location in Kenya in early 2017 as well as earlier in 2019. The real magic of Asilia Camps is their sheer exclusivity. You’ll experience a level of safari solitude and serenity simply unheard of in the busy Serengeti and Masai Mara reserves. At last but not least, you’ll be given the chance to bring home your 4K safari movie, produced and filmed by our Paka Safaris expert cameramen. The perfect way to end this thrilling adventure!

DAY 0: NAIROBI OR KENYAN COAST
You’ll spend at least one night in Nairobi or on the kenyan coast before your safari begins.
If you are at Nairobi and you’re looking for something to do, visit the Giraffe Centre, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, or the Karen Blixen Museum during the day. Click here to know more about this.
Instead, if you are on the coast, you may decide to enjoy the ocean and the white beaches before your safari adventure. You may choose to stay at our exclusive Nyumba ya Paka Boutique Hotel or any other hotels.
If you are at Nairobi, we wish to suggest you some accomodation you would love:
If you are on the coast, we are proud to suggest you the following accomodation:
DAY 1: MARA NABOISHO CONSERVANCY
Enjoy a quick breakfast at your hotel.
Then, meet and greet your Paka Safaris representative who will accompany you, in order to assist you during the course of this adventure. The person who will come with you will be also your safari designer, the one who created this itinerary, and professional guide.
Together you will transfer to the domestic airport.
Hop into your light-aircraft flight to Naboisho Conservancy, just over an hour away from Nairobi and 2 hours and a half away from the coast, where your safari driver and guide will be waiting to greet you.
You’ll enjoy a game drive during the trip to your Asilia camp, where you will be spending 2 nights (minimum).
And after a fantastic lunch at the camp, you’ll enjoy your tent and relax.
You may decide also to request for your 4K movie to bring home a flavour of your trip and share with your friends. Our Paka Safaris professional cameraman will accompany you and film your once in a lifetime adventure.
In the afternoon, venture out on a game drive, or on foot, to explore the hills, valleys, and plains of the Mara ecosystem.
Spend your game drives seeking out the diverse wildlife which includes lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe and much more.
After a full day of adventure, relax by the pool while dinner is prepared for you.
The Mara Naboisho Conservancy limits the number of beds per acre and also the number of tourists who may enter the area, thereby reducing the crowds of vehicles. Guests often find themselves the only vehicle around, giving spectacular, unspoiled views of exciting wildlife. The Conservancy has one of the highest densities of lions in Africa. And because the Mara Naboisho Conservancy is not governed by the same rules that apply to national parks, there is the flexibility to experience something truly profound and to see and do things not possible in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The passion and expertise of the guides at the conservancy facilitate this experience.
DAY 2: MARA NABOISHO CONSERVANCY
Wake up early today and have your morning game drive among Mara plains with your personal guide, in search of wildlife.
And when you feel hungry, mid morning, you hop from the vehicle to survey this wonderland. Moments later, your table awaits you. This is your Private Bush breakfast! It’s highly unlikely that you have ever started the day in such a glorious location, or in such fantastic isolation. No fellow diners: just you, our chef your driver and your guide, serving an array of delicious buffet delicacies.
In the afternoon you could head out on another game drive or you might want to relax in your tent or by the pool watching wildlife around.
As action packed as it all seems, the real excitement of the savannah doesn’t take place until after the sun has set and the safari tourists have returned to camp for a long, lazy dinner. At night the lions lift themselves out of their daily torpor and start tracking zebra, the leopard you’d been watching dozing in the tree slips down into the undergrowth and chases after whatever moves whilst dozens of species that remained buried deep underground in the day emerge with the moon to forage, hunt and scavenge.
The problem for us sensory stunted humans though is that we can’t see much of this action. Here , you can have night safaris using spotlights to search out the action. Join us on the dark side of a safari.
DAY 3: YOUR JOURNEY ENDS
It’s time to bid farewell to the bush.
After breakfast and a morning game drive you will go back to Nairobi in time to connect with your international flight or you may decide to fly to the coast for a Beach Holiday: you may choose to stay at our exclusive Nyumba ya Paka Boutique Hotel or any other hotel.
EXTENSION
You can add as many nights as you wish. The conservancy boasts impressive herds of elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, and zebra. It is also home to Kenya’s rare wild dog. In addition to the abundance of resident game, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy also serves as a migration corridor for several hundred thousand animals between the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Loita Plains to the east. So, you will never want to leave this place!
You may also decide to join this safari to other luxury safari programs. For example you can add other 2 nights at Lewa Conservancy and/or at Kalama Conservancy, near Samburu National Park, transferring from one area to the other one by light aircraft: feel free to contact us for suggestions!
